Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2025

Veytra Technologies Private Limited is committed to protecting your privacy. All personal data and vehicle data processed through our Services is stored on Indian servers. We do not sell your data and we do not route it through foreign cloud infrastructure for core processing.

1. Overview

Veytra Technologies Private Limited ("Veytra", "we", "our", or "us") operates the veytra.io platform, mobile applications, and any associated software products or services (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our Services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

When you register an account, request a demo, fill a contact form, or subscribe to our Services, we may collect: • Name, designation, and organisation details • Email address and phone number • Billing address and payment information (processed securely via third-party gateways; we do not store raw card data) • Any other information you choose to share with us

2.2 Information from device usage (Platform & Fleet modules)

When you use our fleet or vehicle management modules, we collect operational data transmitted by GPS and telematics devices installed in vehicles: • Vehicle location and movement data (GPS coordinates, speed, heading) • Trip history and route data • Engine diagnostics and sensor readings • Video streams and snapshots from onboard cameras (stored on infrastructure you control or on Indian-hosted servers operated by Veytra) • Driver behaviour events (harsh braking, acceleration, lane departure)

2.3 Information from mobile applications

Our mobile apps (including but not limited to parent tracking apps, employee commute apps, driver apps, and field operations apps) may request access to: • Location — to provide real-time tracking, route optimisation, or geo-fenced alerts. Apps will request foreground or background location only when the feature requires it; you will be prompted for permission. • Camera & microphone — for in-app video verification, SOS features, or document scanning where applicable. • Push notifications — for alerts, status updates, and safety events. • Contacts — only if you explicitly use a sharing or invite feature. • Storage — to cache maps, logs, or media for offline use. We request only the permissions needed for the features you use. You can revoke any permission at any time through your device settings, though this may limit certain features.

2.4 Information collected automatically

When you access our website or use our platform, we automatically collect: • IP address and approximate geographic location (country / city level) • Browser type, device type, and operating system • Pages visited, time spent, and clickstream data • Referring URLs and search terms • Error logs and performance diagnostics

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to: • Provide, operate, and improve our Services • Authenticate users and manage accounts • Deliver real-time tracking, alerts, and notifications • Process payments and send invoices • Respond to support requests and demo enquiries • Send product updates, release notes, and service announcements (you may opt out of marketing communications at any time) • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorised access • Meet legal, regulatory, and compliance obligations under Indian law including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000

4. Data Storage & Sovereignty

All personal data and vehicle data processed through our Services is stored on servers located in India. We do not route your data through foreign cloud infrastructure for core processing. Video data from dashcam and surveillance modules is stored on infrastructure you designate (your own servers) or on Indian-hosted servers operated by Veytra, depending on your configuration. Where we engage sub-processors (e.g. payment gateways, email delivery), we ensure that personal data shared with them is limited to what is strictly necessary and that they maintain appropriate security standards.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in the following circumstances: • With your authorised users — fleet managers, dispatchers, and other roles you configure within your account • With service providers — trusted third parties that help us operate our Services (hosting, payment processing, analytics), bound by confidentiality agreements • With your white-label customers — if you are a white-label partner, data within your tenant is governed by your own end-user agreements; Veytra acts as a data processor • For legal compliance — when required by law, court order, or government authority • In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality obligations

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time using our data deletion request form or by contacting us at privacy@veytra.io. Operational telematics data (GPS trips, events) is retained per your subscription plan settings. Video recordings are retained for the period you configure — defaults vary by module. Certain data may be retained longer where required by law.
