1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to veytr.io, all Veytra branded web and mobile applications, white-label portals hosted on behalf of clients, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services you consent to the practices described here.
2. Data We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, data generated automatically while you use the Services, and data obtained from partners. This may include account details (name, email, phone, company, billing info), fleet and passenger information (vehicle IDs, driver profiles, rider manifests, contact logs), telematics data (GPS traces, sensor and CAN bus data, dashcam video, event metadata), usage and diagnostics (device type, app version, IP address, cookies, analytics identifiers), and communications such as support requests or sales conversations.
3. How We Use Data
We use personal and operational data to deliver and improve the Services, configure fleet dashboards, process transactions, provide customer support, develop new features, enforce policies, detect fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations, and communicate product updates or marketing messages (you may opt out of non-essential communications).
4. Legal Bases
Depending on your jurisdiction we rely on one or more legal bases to process data: contractual necessity (to deliver the Services you subscribed to), legitimate interests (product analytics, security, fraud prevention), consent (marketing, access to certain sensors), and compliance with legal duties (tax, law-enforcement requests, safety regulations).
5. Sharing With Third Parties
We may share data with hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g., Vercel, AWS, Cloudflare), communications vendors (email, SMS, push notifications), analytics tools, integration partners you connect (ERPs, HRMS, CRM, insurers), law-enforcement or regulators when required, and professional advisors. Vendors only receive the minimum data needed to perform contracted services and are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
6. International Transfers
Veytra operates primarily from India but may store or process data in other regions using trusted cloud partners. When data leaves its country of origin we use standard contractual clauses, intra-group agreements, or other legal mechanisms to safeguard it. Client-specific hosting (such as on-prem or client cloud deployments) follows the residency arrangements defined in the contract.
7. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical controls such as encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access, audit logging, network isolation, vulnerability management, employee training, and incident response procedures. No system is 100% secure; if we learn of unauthorized access we will notify affected customers and regulators as required by law.
8. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet contractual or legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Fleet telematics and media data follow retention settings configured by the customer. When data is no longer required we delete or de-identify it using secure methods.
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your personal data, or object to certain processing. If we process data on behalf of a customer (e.g., your employer or school), please direct requests to them first. Otherwise, contact us using the details below and we will respond within the timelines required by law.
10. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies for authentication, remembering preferences, analytics, and marketing. You can control cookies through browser settings or opt-out links provided where required. Some features may not function correctly if you disable cookies.
11. Children
Our Services are intended for business customers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent. For school bus solutions, schools act as controllers and must obtain any parental permissions required by local regulations.
12. Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features, legal requirements, or operational changes. The "Effective Date" will be updated accordingly, and material changes will be communicated through the Services or by email.
13. Contact
For privacy questions or requests contact: operations@veytra.io or Data Protection Officer, Veytra Technologies Private Limited, New Delhi, India. Please include your name, contact information, and the nature of your request.
